Grandma's Attic

Family Services à la famille is embarking on a unique fundraising project called “Grandma’s Attic”. We are requesting donated items that we can post on e-bay to raise money for our programs. Donations of collectibles and vintage items such as:  jewelry; electronics, cameras; toys & sports cards would be appreciated. Tax receipts* will be issued for items with an estimated fair market value of $100 or more at the time of the donation.

We hope to use your unwanted “treasures” to help raise money for our many programs and services. By donating items you can make a little more room for yourself and know that you are contributing to a healthier and stronger community.

A Note About Receipts for In-kind Donations

*Please note that Revenue Canada has special regulations about auctions which registered charities must follow. The ‘fair market value’ of goods given to charity to auction off is the amount the donor would have received on the open market at the time he made the gift. Receipts will be issued for the ‘fair market value’, not what the item sells for at auction. This estimate is based solely on the value of the goods received which is determined at the sole discretion of Family Services à la famille Ottawa.
